    I guess this tip is applicable to removal of any type of malware or spyware.

    Its so annoying getting those pop-ups every now and then. I had tried everything but the still the stubborn error kept coming. Looks like i have a solution…Thanks a ton.

    The best bet is still to do a full formatting.

    Thank you so much for writing this Keith! My friend has run Avast and AVG antivirus software programs but this problem is still there.. she tried to download Spybot search and destroy and is not able to coz it keeps giving server error msg! well, the GeekSquad is asking for $200 and she’d have to leave the pc for at least a week which is not an option.. will ask her to run the program you sent yesterday and see if that helps but I think a full formatting might still be required…

    If you can’t get MBAM exe file to run, rename it to something else, and then execute the Malware Bytes Program. Otherwise this virus is nasty and wont let anything run..
