If you have been waiting anxiously for the WordPress team to release the latest version of the blogging platform you may have been disappointed a tad bit. But that was all in the past. The WordPress team have released a Release Candidate (RC1) version of the tagged WordPress 2.5.

The release candidate is most likely going to be the final build and unless some major bugs are reported you can get ready to upgrade in the next couple of days.

Some of the major changes in the new version include;

Total revamp of the Dashboard

dashboard-wide

New Navigation in the Admin Panel

nav-wide

Improvements in the Write Panel

write-wide

And a improvement in the Management Section

manage-wide

Well if you are looking to try out this before it is officially released you can download the WordPress 2.5 Release Candidate and test it out on your blog or local WordPress install.

    I too saw it at the wordpress blog, I’ll try it on a demo site. BTW I hope automatic plugin would be able to update this version. :-)

    I am working on checking to find any bugs in the automatic upgrade plugin, if there are any I will definitely fix it and upload a new version

Note: We discourage users from using keywords in their names while posting comments, most of them get caught by spam, also it really would be more fruitful in knowing people who comment by their real name, rather than by using a name no one relates to. In future we reserve the right to delete comments from users using a name other than their own.
