Top 3 Myths Stopping You from Switching to Windows 7

win7-logo Businesses are adopting Windows 7 at a faster rate than any other Microsoft operating system to date, with more than 175 million licenses sold since the October 2009 launch. Despite its success, some companies are still reluctant to make the change or just don’t know where to start. MYTH #1: It is too much work to switch operating systems

Updating your operating system seems like a daunting task but it is simpler than you think.  Microsoft has the tools, application compatibility and fixes ready to make the transition fast and easy. MYTH #2: I’ll have to replace my existing hardware

Not only will most of your hardware be compatible with the new operating system, but Windows 7 users are saying that the majority of their PCs are now performing faster than ever. If you’re unsure, you can use the Microsoft Assessment and Planning tool to scan and determine compatibility before starting your migration. Click here to learn more.

MYTH #3: My applications might not work

Compatibility with your critical business applications is the first barrier to adoption. Microsoft has created a great toolkit to find out if your existing apps will work on Windows 7. The tools help customers lower their costs for application compatibility testing, prioritize their applications, and deploy Windows 7 more quickly. Our customers are finding, for the most part, their applications do work, and that there are toolsets and remediation techniques available to help make apps compatible should there be any challenges. Listen to what our customers have been saying.
