Web Viewer: Extend your IE experience
By on March 23rd, 2009

Web Viewer is a WinMo app that is built on top of Internet Explorer mobile engine. It adds several enhancements to mobile browsing, including tabbed Web browsing.

Web Viewer adds a slew of features to the regular IE mobile browsing experience like tabbed browsing, screen rotation, enhanced File menu, saving options on exit, opening links in new tab, viewing source, and the latest version even supports Unicode.

However, there is a known issue when navigating. The Back/Forward buttons do not function correctly on some devices. A workaround is to go to another tab and then return. This then registers correctly. Alternatively, you can use the context menu to select ‘Back’.

The lightweight application is available as a freeware, but is not supported on Windows Mobile for SmartPhone. It beats several similar applications, mostly paid, with the intuitive experience. Download the application from here.
