Viigo 3.0 (beta) boasts a intuitive, slick, and mobile-friendly interface to consume a wide range of customizable content and services from some of the world’s leading content providers and publishers.
Viigo allows consumption of news, weather information, real-time sports scores, stocks and finance, audio and podcasts, entertainment, and blogs through an enhanced and compelling mobile experience. Viigo offers an extensive library of content sources to subscribe to, and allows adding a URL manually.
Apart from serving as RSS reader or content source, Viigo also serves as a neat podcast client. You can browse, subscribe to, download, listen, or watch podcasts while on your WinMo. Like the feed sources, you can discover and subscribe to a multitude of freely available podcasts in Viigo’s audio channel library, or subscribe to podcasts of your choice by simply entering the podcast’s URL.
However, the exhaustive content sources is also Viigo’s undoing. Too many channels are present by default, making for a confused selection. Even starting over from scratch involves deleting each source individually. The sole negative of this application.
Viigo is the most complete RSS-reading environment for your WinMo (also available for Blackberry), and is surprisingly free. It changes the way you consume Web content on your mobile device. The application is localized to French, German, Italian, Spanish, and English. If only, all freeware apps were made like Viigo.
