Snip your URLs right from your WinMo
By on April 27th, 2009

ceSnipURL is a simple one screen utility that allow us to shorten long URLs for use on Twitter, or with SMSes where number of characters are limited.

ceSnipURL is developed by Vince Koser, who’s also developed ceTwit, a Twitter client for WinMo.

SnipURL

There are several URL shortening services available on the Web. However, they are not convenient on a WinMo device, and the clipboard interaction is more cumbersome than using this app.

ceSnipURL auto places URLs from clipboard into conversion window on application launch, and after conversion the shortened URL is placed on the clipboard. You can then paste the shortened URLs in text messages, tweets, or other messages. It also includes built-in checking for update via the About screen.

Download the app from the developer’s homepage here. The application requires .NET Compact Framework 2.0.
