There’s not a single mobility blog, which doesn’t have it’s fodder on the expected date for the upcoming Windows Phone 7 update. It will come when it comes, but here’s what you need to update your Windows Phone 7.

When a software update for your phone is available, you’ll get a notification.

However, you can choose to check whether your phone has found an update,:

1. On Start, flick left to the App list and tap Settings. Then tap Phone update.
2. If an update is available, and you want to learn more and install it on your phone, connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable.
3. On your computer, in the Zune software, select Settings > Phone > Update. The Zune software will provide an estimate of the time required for the update to complete.

To update your phone, you need have the Zune software installed. Also, by default, your phone uses your cellular data connection to check for updates and notifies you when an update is found, but you can change these settings.
