By on May 12th, 2011

Avlade has published a useful eBook – Designing for Windows Phone 7 – which includes great content weather you are learning Windows Phone 7 development or training/speaking on the same. Avlade is a content creation and sales enablement partner for technology companies.

The 89-page ebook contains seven lessons including a walkthrough to create a sample application – Flickr4Fun – that will incorporate much of what you have learned into a Flickr Phone application that will search for images based upon a keyword and also allow you to add talk bubbles and save the image to your phone.

  1. METRO Design
  2. Building WP7 Assets
  3. Layout Controls in Expression Blend
  4. Creating Animation & Basic Interactivity
  5. Working with the Visual State Manager
  6. Adding Data to your Application
  7. Creating the Flickr4Fun app

P.S. Maybe, the book was commissioned by Microsoft. It does include a Microsoft logo, but that’s that. Also, since it is off the Avlade servers, I’m not sure if this was meant for public distribution. It’s great content though, and doesn’t hurt anybody’s interests. If you get to know more about the specifics, ping me.
