Evernote is arguably the best note-taking application. One of the reason for this is the availability of Evernote everywhere – on all desktop and mobile platforms as well as browser. Recently, Evernote launched its application for Windows Phone 7, where it competes with the bundled OneNote application from Microsoft.
A few days back I spoke to Phil Libin, CEO of Evernote. and we had a good conversation on Evernote’s roadmap, and the motivation as they grow big with consistent funding. Phil dismisses competition, not in arrogance, but to focus on people who are still not using digital aids for note-taking. A long-time OneNote user, I explored Evernote last year, and since than have been using both of them with shifting loyalties. Evernote looks exciting as they move from a note-taking app to explore ‘adjacent areas’ while keeping it simple.
The video conversation was recorded off Skype. It is a little choppy, since Phil was online on Skype via his iPhone. The audio is clear though.
