Many a time you may have applications or websites open that you may now want anyone else to see. The best thing one can do to hide such things from others is completely close the application itself.

For example you are watching a funny video at work and may not want your colleagues or far more worse you boss to catch you at it. This is definitely not the best solution as you will have to start the application back up again once they have left.

Window Hide Tool is a nifty little application that allows you to quickly and easily hide certain windows that are in view. You can either click on the Window Hide Tool icon in the tray or use a hotkey to hide and show the windows.

In addition to that you can also hide all the windows at once using a hotkey. There is also an option to set password protection to show back the hidden windows which will disallow anyone else to open it.

Grouping Applications

Windows Hide Tool has a nice little feature where you can create groups based on keywords and use hot keys minimize all applications related to that groups. For example if you want to hide Firefox even when it is not in focus you can simply create a new group. Provide it with a name and a add in the Keyword "Firefox".

Once you have done that provide it with a hot key and save the group. The next time when you want to hide all Firefox windows simply use the hot key and it will disappear from the main screen.

You can create such groups to hide all IM windows and other things that you may not want others to see with a simple hotkey. You can also you the system tray icon to quickly hide and show applications easily.

This is a must have application if you want to hide away what you are doing from others, simply minimizing the application does not work and this could be one of the best freeware’s I have seen.

Windows Hide Tool is a free software and you can register your software with a key. To register the software for free;

  • Download and Install the Window Hide Tool
  • Right-click on the tray icon, select Register item, paste "42M5-ZEUD-K67R-G5QS-V7AC-HL7F" as the registration code without the quotes and click OK button

    This all in one boss key application can hide windows, mute sound, switch display mode, hide tray icons and more with a key or a mouse shortcut. Once the threat has passed it returns all to the state before hiding windows. There is also paid version that provides even more functionality in order to protect your privacy. A must have tool!
