Drop.io is a new way to easily and simply share your files across the Internet. I had talked about similar free online storage services earlier, but with those services you had to either signup or register yourself before you could share or upload the files.

With Drop.io you can easily and swiftly without having to signup or provide your email address. To share your files you need to drop your files for sharing and create a URL for the files to be accessed.

dropio_logo-2 You can then send the URL to any of your friends who can then easily download the files. The files that you upload are safe and can be only accessed by the URL, none of the files uploaded are ever indexed and cannot be found using search engines.

You can also add passwords to your shared folders and allow your family or friends to add notes and files. This functionality is not seen in any the other services. The duration to store the files can also be specified and it can span from one day to a year.

Drop.io can be useful when you want to share documents between friends and quickly get their opinions on it, or share pictures with friends and get their views on it.

Though there are many similar options available for sharing files, this with better privacy features. It’s beneficial for the users as now they have one more service which they can use to share their files with.

Note: We discourage users from using keywords in their names while posting comments, most of them get caught by spam, also it really would be more fruitful in knowing people who comment by their real name, rather than by using a name no one relates to. In future we reserve the right to delete comments from users using a name other than their own.
