Hi,

Just wondering if this saves all the perks of a site like the flash buttons and menus etc. I must admit there as a couple of sites that have great flash features for displaying photos and I was wondering if i could save that site and edit in dream weaver to put my photos in there and host it.

(Hey whats this blue line? Am I over my charachter quota?)

If anyone has any info or advice it would be really appreciated.
Thanks

I found some inbound links from some site going to a javascript file I used for random images. I dug deeper into my logs and found more of the same for other files that had been copied from my site. I looked into it and someone had apparently used software like this to copy my entire site and had started making changes to it to create their "new" site. Since they were both regional and separated by about 3000 miles, I didn't worry too much about it. I just kept an eye on it to make sure there wouldn't be any blatant copyright violations, or a duplicate content penalty. It was actually entertaining for about a week watching them make change after change and effectively destroy the design and code I had worked so hard on. The site is apparently gone, but I still check up on it from time to time to make sure.

I used this software. But since I have unlimited internet access, so, i don't need this anymore.

But, yeah, this is an exellent software!

I have used HTTrack. It is excellent---very powerful and yet simple for non-techies.

One warning: If you do restore your website from an HTTrack backup, you should not simply copy the backup to your web server because, at least at one time, HTTrack inserted meta data into each page. I believe it was this meta data that resulted in Google not indexing the website after it was restored. However, the problem with Google could have been related to something else (one never knows). But if you use HTTrack, note that HTTrack does (or did at one time) insert meta data on each page.
