Automatically Lock Your PC with your Bluetooth Device When You Leave Your Workstation
There are various ways of locking up your PC, but many a times you tend to forget to lock your PC while moving away from your workstation.
This can have various ramifications since anyone can come and snoop on your unlocked PC, the best way to lock your PC is to tell it to automatically lock down when you leave your workstation.
How can you lock your PC automatically while leaving your Workstation?
Bluetooth PC Proximity Locker is a software that will allow you to lock your PC when you move away from it with your blue tooth device.
The software will only work when your Bluetooth device you have set up as default device is not in range of the PC.
How does it ensure that I can lock my PC?
The most common blue tooth device you may have is the cell phone and the most common reason you may leave your workstation is because you may received a call on it, so setting up your cellphone as your default device you can ensure that your PC is locked automatically every time you take a break for a call.
And the cellphone is a thing which you will always take with you just in case you may receive a call from someone, so taking it out of range from the PC will automatically lock it.
What’s the Catch though?
Well first of this software is absolutely free to use, the only problem with using this is that you PC must be Bluetooth enabled.

This is a unique way of securing your PC and I myself tend to forget to lock my Workstation when I go to attend a phone call. Since my laptop comes with a inbuilt Bluetooth and so does my phone I would definitely use this to setup auto locking for my laptop :).

This sounds useful, but I only actually switch my phone bluetooth on when I’m actually using it, the battery only lasts a day or so as it is!

This is something amazing. I can certainly use it for short period of time. I mean when I am away from my computer not for so long.
But if someone switch off the computer bluetooth then will it remain the same? Like in my laptop which have inbuilt Bluetooth device but any one can switch it off or on with just the push of a button.

I guess once the PC is locked you can only start it up by entering your password. If anyone turns off the bluetooth device after your PC is locked I don’t think they would be able to login to your PC.
