Before posting the copied content they would be deleting the back link. I have used it on a particular site which I run and it works perfectly fine. To check if the backlink is working, you can try copying some content from your site and paste it in a notepad and you'll notice the backlink. If you don't you need to re-check the way you had added the code, as I am very sure it will work. If you think everything's write and still you don't find why it's not working, contact Tynt folks and report your issue.
