All Alicia Keys fans, pay attention! Alicia Keys is set to perform at The Apollo tomorrow and the best part of the performance will be, apart from her voice, the live broadcast that fans all over the world will be able to watch over the internet, totally free of charge.
Billboard.com has collaborated with Alicia Keys to broadcast the show through their website. The users will be able to choose their own camera angle from the available five cameras. As you watch, you can switch between the viewing angles.
There shall also be a separate Director’s Cut’ mode where the user will be able to experience the concert in full screen and larger resolution. Switching between the viewing angles will no doubt be a totally new and exhilarating experience; it will be like quickly teleporting to different seats during a concert. Ever tried that? Try it now.
Apart from watching the show online, fans can also experience the show on-the-go from their iPhones and iPod Touches.
To watch the show online on your computer, you will need to install Microsoft Silverlight.
To me, this seems like a pretty good promotion for all the event managers. Alicia might get some new fans. Billboard shall get a few new subscribers and a few people would finally be on their way now to install Microsoft’s Silverlight. Good move.
The concert will take place Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. PST from The Apollo in New York. In addition to her performance, Keys will be introducing talented new artists who will also perform during the special broadcast.
