Share Files In Twitter With TweetCube
The latest entrant into providing additional services for twitter is TweetCube a cool little service which allows you to share files with friends on twitter.
TweetCube allows you to share files on Twitter. Blast out your images, videos, music and more with just a couple of clicks. There is cap of 10MB per file you can upload to TweetCube, but you can upload unlimited number of files to the service. The old files will be deleted after 30 days.
How does the service Work?
TweetCube stores the uploaded files on their server and sends a link to the file to all your followers. Your followers can then follow the link and download the file from the TweetCube website.
There are basically three steps you that you need to follow to share files with your followers.
Step 1: Login using your twitter username and password.
Step 2: Upload a file you want to share with your followers.
The service has support for .zip, .rar, .pdf, .jpg, .png, .gif, .mp3 or .txt files.
Step 3: Type your message and publish it to your followers.
That’s it the link to your file will show up as twitter message to your followers from where they can easily download the file.
Other Goodies
TweetCube does not delete your uploaded file for 30 days and also gives you a option to track the history of all the files you have uploaded and shared with your twitter followers.
Summarizing
Looks like a service that has definite promise, only things that I would like to see as part of the service is the ability to send direct messages to one of my friends and also have a delete option in the File history section.
