We have previously mentioned in detail how you can control your PC using Twitter. However, the application that we mentioned, TweetMyPC, was only for Windows and didn’t work on Mac OS. It was inevitable that a Mac lover would soon create something similar for Mac.

TweetMyMac is very similar in function to TweetMyPC and allows you to control your Mac from anywhere in the world just using your Twitter account. You first have to download the TweetMyMac client to your Mac and link it to a Twitter account.

Once set up, you can send commands like shutdown, restart, logout, sleep e.t.c. and your Mac would obey. You can even have your Mac capture screen-shots and send to you. It is a pretty useful application if you often need to perform remote operations on your Mac.

Download TweetMyMac here.

Note: We discourage users from using keywords in their names while posting comments, most of them get caught by spam, also it really would be more fruitful in knowing people who comment by their real name, rather than by using a name no one relates to. In future we reserve the right to delete comments from users using a name other than their own.
