Yahoo WordPress Blogs don’t work behind proxy servers

I was recently referring to a pingback from http://blogaboutyourblog.com [1] pointing to my plugin WordPress Automatic Upgrade on WLTC [2]. I just tried to check the post and got a error like the image below.
For those who do not know what a proxy server is, here is what Wikepedia says about it.
In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application program) which services the requests of its clients by forwarding requests to other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource, available from a different server. The proxy server provides the resource by connecting to the specified server and requesting the service on behalf of the client. A proxy server may optionally alter the client's request or the server's response, and sometimes it may serve the request without contacting the specified server.
The proxy server I was running on my local machine was a local proxy to debug request and responses to external sites. Nevertheless I tried another proxy server online called kproxy [4] which again got the same error.
Does this mean that Yahoo hosted sites do not work behind a proxy has any one seen the same issue for Yahoo hosted sites? If you do please let me know through your comments.
