The interest shown in Windows 7 must be gratifying for Microsoft, as Vista is a well-documented flop! I am myself quite surprised by the buzz being generated by the Beta release of Windows 7 , and the amount of information available already. Maybe this will prove to be the heir proper to XP! Time will tell!

Great round up of articles about the new Windows 7 – I still haven’t downloaded it and installed it. I am running Vista and I am not sure how most programs will act on it. I’d rather just keep Vista at the moment.
You mention alot of compelling articles that make me want to upgrade though! I think I might, it does look really cool!

Big mistake , the biggest reason alot of people returned back to xp from vista is because of the bugs and backward compatabilty.
Windows 7 has no major bugs from which I can tell , and it is fully backwards compatible.

Windows 7 is seriously a huge upgrade from Vista. I upgraded and noticed how much more productive I was once I didn’t have to worry about constantly moving files and programs around.
One thing that would be helpful is a list of common drivers that will need to be installed. After I downloaded Windows 7, there were about 4 or 5 drivers I needed to download before I could perform a task, one was for setting up wireless. Windows still hasn’t found out a way to make upgrading as easy as it should be.

A lot of people say Windows 7 is just about design. I find a couple small features helping me work more efficiently. I do a lot in Office and having the ability to highlight the program and visually see all the files is helpful. It also cleans up the toolbar when you have 1 million documents open.
