Spammers Get Innovative, Use Top Media Names to Fool Users

Spam emails have always known to be a pain, what with phishing attacks and identity thefts on the increase, we have talked about innovative ways in which spammers can fool you. In the latest spam attack, spammers are using well know media names to fool the users, many users have begun complaining of receiving emails with subjects such as “MSNBC Breaking News” “CNN.com Daily Top 10” “CNN Alerts: My Custom Alerts” and so on.

We advice users to delete such emails, without opening them as there are reports of trojan attacks after clicking on the links in the email.

    Thumbs up to Gmail. I’ve been getting “MSNBC breaking news” spam for over a week now and have yet to see one in my inbox :)

    @Robert I agree with you, Gmail’s spam filter is probably one of the best ever
