Firefox 3 [1] made a major change to the location bar allowing you to search anywhere in the URL history and bookmarks. Though the feature is awesome several users are not happy with it. There are quite a few tips and tricks [2] about doing away with the new AwesomeBar.
But why break your head when you can do it with a simple extension. Old Location Bar is a Firefox extension that will help you restore the Firefox 2 location bar in Firefox 3.

Just install the plugin and your location bar will be restored. Since this extension is still in experimental mode you will have to sign into Firefox add-ons [3] site before you can use it.
To save you some trouble and time, here is a username and password you can use to login into Firefox add-ons site.
