I Won The John Chow RSS contest
Well yes this is the second time I am winning something this year. Sometime back I had won the third prize in a WordPress plugin competition, but this time I am the grand winner at the John Chow RSS contest. The actual contest was between John Chow and Shoemoney to see who can get the maximum amount of feed readers in the month of October.
To spice up the contest John held his own contest to get readers to give him the best idea to gain more RSS readers, well my idea came out tops and I won the grand prize. The idea that I gave John Chow was to add in email subscription to get more feed readers and that helped a lot :-).
Well here is what I won
- A 2GB iPod Nano.
- A $750 redesign for the blog by Adriaan Pienaar of Adii.
- $400 review by John Chow dot Com.
- Ad in the John Chow dot Com RSS feed.
I am happy to win and now that I will be getting a theme redesign, I think I will release my current theme with a GPL license.

congrats keith…I love your current design…don’t get too flashy like john chow’s…he has great blogging skills but the design to me is too flasy…ofcourse the design should be more in tune with the niche of your blog…
but definitely get more popular like john chow…You are a good programmer and you can do great things by yourselves…if the new theme is really cool then go for it…but do have your say…

Wow, that is incredible! You must have a lot of luck on your side.
If you need someone to find a use for the iPod let me know
Oh, and I think releases your theme is an excellent idea, or you could always use it on a new blog or something instead since you put all the work into it.
