How To Convert Video Files to GIF Animations for Free? [Reader Query]
Recently Sakib one of our readers from OpenGiga asked a question: How to convert a video file to a GIF animation? While researching for the answer, we did come across some solutions but those were not very good, this lead us to search Techie Buzz archives itself to see if we could find something we had written about.
And guess what, we did find a useful and free solution to convert video files to GIF animations from our own archives in the post, Top 3 Free Online Media and Document Converters.
Though most of the online media converters are good enough, we prefer to recommend using Zamzar, one of the best online media converters to convert any video file to a GIF animation. To convert a video file to a GIF animation, select the file you want to convert, choose GIF as the option you want to convert to, and provide your email address where you want to receive the converted file.
Zamzar supports conversion from AVI, FLV, GVI (Google Video), M4V, MOV, MP4, RM, RMVB, VOB (DVD Video format) to GIF animations, if you have a file in WMV, 3GP or any other unsupported formats you can first convert them to the supported formats and then convert them to GIF animations using Zamzar itself.
You can also signup for free at Zamzar to keep track of your conversions and download them from your own admin dashboard.
Hope this solves your problem Sakib. If you have a problem or want us to find a solution for you, don’t forget to ask us about it, we will definitely try our best to find the best solution for you.
