Same happened to me. Thouht it would be a good thing to upgrade the Software on my Nokia E61i after 18 months use.
Lost all contacts and data in the process, and no warnings from Nokia during the the upgrade process!!
Now I’m switching to an iPhone!

Did not lose my phone, but once the software broke and needed update. When i asked Nokia Care, he said all the information including contacts would be deleted :(

So, from then am using Mobical.
