I have been a big Formula 1 fan and have been following it since quite a few years. The fast cars that go up to speeds of 300 miles an hour gives me an adrenaline rush.

Formula 1 until 3 years ago was getting a bit boring with Michael Schumaker the undisputed champion with no challenge from the other drivers. The performance took a turn three years with Fernando Alonso who was racing with the Renault team then piping Schumaker to take the World Championship. Schumaker did retire after that year leaving a young brigade of drivers to compete and give their best results.

Last year was no surprise with Alonso winning the championship again but he did have competition from Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button and a host of other drivers too. It seemed like F1 was getting boring again but in came Lewis Hamilton a rookie from Britain who surprised everyone by being on the podium for the first 7 races.

This year has been far more interesting than any other season and its the Final Showdown at Brazil that will determine the champion for 2007. It is by far the most interesting race in the history of Formula 1. Hamilton leads the pack with 107 points with Alonso trailing him by 4 points at 103 and Raikkonen a further 7 points behind at 100.

It makes for a interesting race as even if Raikkonen or Alonso wins the race and Hamilton comes in second he has a chance of winning the championship making him the first rookie and the youngest champion in Formula 1 history.

I for one definitely do not want to miss all the live action from the final race and have found few ways to catch the action online for free.

If you are in the United States then there is quite a chance you will miss all the action, but you can still watch it Online using the free online broadcasting. Here are few of the options.

  • GigStream – requires you to download their software
  • wwwiTV – requires Real Media Player or Windows Media Player installed on your PC
  • CentralDesktop – Online streaming provided

So what more do you need go ahead and catch the Formula One action live online for free. I am rooting for Hamilton. Who are you rooting for? Do let me know your comments on it.
