The Mozilla team announced the release of Firefox 3.0.1, which contains several security and stability fixes.

The latest release includes the following updates:

  • Fixes for several security and stability issues.
  • Fixes for malware and phishing database not updating on first startup
  • In certain cases, installing Firefox 2 in the same directory in which Firefox 3 has been installed resulted in Firefox 2 being unstable. This issue was fixed as part of Firefox 2.0.0.15.
  • Fix for a issue on Linux where Firefox always started in "Offline" mode.

You can view the complete list of changes here.

Mozilla strongly recommends all Firefox 3 users to upgrade to the new version, they will be pushing a automated update in the next 24 to 48 hours.

In future we reserve the right to delete comments from users using a name other than their own.
