I often try to locate and download the manuals for things I buy or already own because it&#039;s often easier to find them -- sometimes years -- later. It can also be handy to read them on the computer because you&#039;ll often have some sort of  &#039;search&#039; capability in the reader program itself (Acrobat or Help file utility). Manuals are great for finding part numbers and troubleshooting tips, and if you ever sell the item, can be a plus.</description>

Getting the manuals from a 3rd party makes me think a) they&#039;re going to try to charge me or upsell me on something, or add me to a mailing list, and b) they may not have the original guide from the company/manufacturer.</description>
