Find Latest Firmware Versions For Nokia Phones

Keeping your mobile phone updated with latest firmware, is equivalent to keeping your operating system up-to-date, however not many people are aware of firmware upgrades released for mobile phones.

If you are a Nokia user, the phone comes with a handy Nokia PC Suite which includes a Nokia Software Updater to upgrade the firmware on the phone, however you can easily find out when you are ready for upgrading your Nokia phone’s firmware by following the simple steps.

To check if you require a firmware upgrade for Nokia phones, follow these steps.

Step 1: In your phone type in the following text without the quotes *#0000#and press the dial key, you should see the latest firmware that is installed on the phone.

Step 2: Go to the Nokia Firmware versions website and enter the model no of the phone as shown below and click on search.

Step 3: Compare and check if the version on the phone and the version shown by the website is matching, if the website shows a higher version, plugin your phone and upgrade the firmware using Nokia PC suite.

    nokia still makes phones? i cant even think of one they make. all i ever see people with are iphones, blackberries, and palm treos/centros.
