Some time back I had posted about QTTabBar which allowed you browse through your files using tabs. It was a very good tool to use and was using it till now, but that was I came across another cute little program that allows me to do browse my folders in a tabbed manner.

xplorer² lite is a very good alternative for your regular Explorer windows and performs better than QTTabBar. It is a lightweight version of xplorer² software which is available for commercial usage. It is free for personal and academic use.

xplorer² lite shows up like a regular Explorer window but instead of one file browsing pane and one folder view, it has one file browsing pane and two folder views. That means you can browse two folders at once which makes Copy Pasting files in 2 different folders a piece of Cake. xplorer² does make my organizing task a lot more easier.

You can also have a tabbed window within a folder view to navigate between different folders. There are lots of keyboard shortcuts available too which make tasks such as creating a folder or file more easier. It also has an option to preview multimedia files both audio and video content and also acts as a text editor.

Mass renaming, file splitting and merging capabilities are all built in into this power packed product. So don’t wait switch to xplorer² lite now and enjoy a better experience for managing files and folders.
