Yahoo Status Changer for Media Player and Winamp

Now Yahoo! with your music.

If you want to let your friends what your listening to in Media Player or Winamp while chatting in Yahoo then you definitely found the right place.

Change your status to what you listening in Yahoo Messenger using a cool plugin for Yahoo Messenger called yStatus that lets you show what you are listening to in Windows Media Player.

YStatus updates your Yahoo Messenger status text with the currently playing song info from Windows Media Player.

So now not only can you change the status of what you are listening to in Windows Media Player for  MSN Messenger but also Yahoo Messenger too.

Okay so if you are a Winamp listener don't worry there is a similar plugin named YMS Status Changer which will help you do the same too. More info below from the Winamp plugin site;

This General Purpose Plugin can change the Yahoo! Messenger status text with the current playing song information, such as the title, artist, song name, or playlist entry number. Here are some features:
- flexible text formatting;
- global hotkeys support;
- customizable behavior (e.g. not to change the status while invisible, etc.)
- special effects with the status text :)
- no ads or any unsolicited text in the status! – it's your plugin and you can put any text you want there

So all you music fans let the world know what your listening to.

    It\’s not working for me either (got WMP 10). The only thing that changes is the status – if I\’m available, busy etc (everytime a new song starts playing)… That\’s [b]not[/b] good! :(

    i beleive this was designed for an older version of yahoo, i have 8 here… it used to work fine on the older ones but i guess there has been a restructure of the yim itself thus cancelling out the plug functioning correctly

    since i switched to Yahoo Messenger 8.0, the status changer for winamp doesn\’t run properly (switches YM status (busy, out to lunch…) instead of songs…

    IS there a patch yet, or any alternative plugins? YM doesn\’t allow me to downgrade……………….

    well lets see that YStatus for WMP on yahoo doesnt download so i think yahoo took it off :)
