The opening ceremony will be held on June 10 at Soccer City in Johannesburg, 2PM local time. The ceremony will see performers from across the world including Shakira, Alicia Keys, Black Eyed Peas and several other popular performers from Algeria and Ghana.

The official FIFA 2010 World Cup song "Waka Waka" will also be performed live by Shakira. In addition to the performers, there will also be several other festivities at the opening ceremony of FIFA 2010 World Cup.
