Research in Motion, the makers of the Blackberry, have acquired The Astonishing Tribe, a UI design firm based in Sweden which is known for creating aston – wait for it – ishing concept user interfaces.

They have been creating some really cool concept mobile UIs since a long time. With this acquisition, we can now expect the upcoming Blackberry Playbook powered by the QNX OS to sport a really mind blowing UI.

No other details about the acquisition have been revealed yet.
