Please activate your Windows and get scammed

Sending emails to users and having them click on scam links to get bank and credit card information is a thing of the past. Here is the newest scam from probably a clever hacker. This is really a top scam that I have ever seen hit the internet.
This is a trojan known as Trojan.Kardphisher [1] which attacks the users at startup. Once the trojan is installed on your system it starts up with the computer and shows you a Windows Activation Screen where it asks you for your credit card information.

What a way to fool people, I bet many users may have already fallen to this pretty little thing. Please do not activate your copy of Windows if you are being asked for your credit card details. Microsoft will NEVER ask you for your credit card details.

Any unsuspecting user who owns a legitmate copy may think that’s its a warning from Microsoft and fall for it. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you do not give away your credit card details online even if its from a legitmate source, you can always contact the vendor’s support system to verify why your are being asked for the information.
REMEMBER NO company can ask you for your credit card information either using a email or such tactics so its highly necessary for you to be alert of such scams.
Check out Symantec’s security alert for this scam.
