Mininova No More in Alexa Top 100
The once most popular file-sharing torrent website on the planet Mininova is now close to achieving another feat: Not being any more popular. Today, Mininova.org – which at a time was called the ultimate bittorent source" stands no more in the top 100 websites on the web as per web analytics engine, Alexa.
Till last month, torrent uploads on Mininova used to heave at about 3000 uploads a day. Now, when only legal and submissions under Mininova’s Content Distribution program are allowed, the number has plumped to below 50 uploads a day.
Mininova’s traffic has also seen a huge dip, with traffic decreasing several folds within a few days of Mininova announcing that they will now only allow approved torrents from selected uploaders. All this to avoid penalty charges forced on it by the Dutch anti-piracy unit, BREIN.

Maybe it's good for them as they could maintain the quality of the files share at the site. Scammers, illegal files might ruin the reputation in long time so I think they'd took a nice step =)
