I was reading an interesting article at Google Operating Sytem with regards to the profile of a search engine user.

Basically the article talks about the difference between Google Suggest and Yahoo LiveSearch results in the Firefox 2 version, well there is a whole lot of difference between types of suggestions both these search engine provides you with.

The results differ quite a lot ( well there is a drastic differnce) so when you are searching for python which is a programming language as well a snake, google suggests you with results related to the programming language and yahoo about the snake.

So are Google search users more technical savvy?

If you search for Nokia which is a cell phone Google shows you results for specific phones while Yahoo shows you general information.

So are google search users more specific with what they want?

Well all the search results showed that Google Search showed more specific information than Yahoo, well this is in accordance with why I use Google search to get specific results, what about you?

See the entire article on Profile of a Search Engine User at Google Operating System.
