Whatever happened to innovation? Google is imitating Bing again with a preview to display a blurred out, unreadable and totally incomprehensive image that portrays no information whatsoever. It might have some visual appeal to it but in real life search, it will be a feature less used.
The new test feature on Google can be seen in action in this image.

So what was Google thinking when it made this feature to test? The only advantage to this feature can be that it allows us to recall and recognize if a particular website is the one we were looking for.
Now, let us have a look at Bing search, which also has a similar information panel that can be brought up by clicking a right arrow. This pop-op actually gives us some information in text and has an array of relevant links below the text. Much better to use, more relevant and more functional.

Clearly, Google is losing its Google-fu. With alternatives like Duckduckgo and user generated Q&A style search, Google will need to do better than this.
