WordPress 3.0 RC1 Released on 7th WordPress Birthday
By on May 27th, 2010

Earlier today I told you on WordPress celebrating it’s 7th birthday, you can also check a post by Matt M on the birthday celebration.

However, in addition to that, WordPress has some more good news on it’s birthday, a release for WordPress 3.0 Release Candidate 1 (RC1).

WordPress 3.0 RC1 contains several new improvement, including:

  • Custom menus are finished
  • WordPress MU or Multi-site is all set.
  • The look of the WordPress admin has been lightened up a little bit, so you can focus more on your content.
  • Plugin authors need to test their plugins to ensure they are compatible with WordPress 3.0.

So all excited? Then go help the folks behind WordPress celebrate their 7th birthday by testing WordPress 3.1 and filing bugs.

Note: This is a release candidate release of WordPress 3.0, though this may be stable, it is highly recommended not to try this out on a production blog.
