Comcast Has The First Internet Highway With Tolls Galore
I use Comcast everyday, I watch videos on YouTube, Vimeo and several such sites which show you videos for free. However, it looks like sites like these will soon have to start paying Comcast and in the end start charging me too with the tolls of the internet.
Yes, Comcast has an internet highway set up where tolls have to be paid. They have asked Level 3 Communications, which is one of the biggest broadband providers in the US, to pay them a fee to allow them to display videos hosted on their infrastructure.
Why this? Because, Level 3 signed a deal with Netflix, a competitor to Comcast’s Xfinity service and on-demand network. Talk about throwing Net Neutrality in the garbage.
