Verizon and HTC have started rolling out a software update for the Droid Incredible. The new software update mostly aims at fixing bugs and also includes Verizon’s V Cast Apps store. The update also allows users to attach file larger than 5MB as attachments and an updated version of Flash Player 10.1.

In a press event, Samsung and the big red – Verizon – have finally unveiled the Samsung Continuum. The handset sports a 3.4-inch S-AMOLED screen along with a secondary ‘ticker’ display measuring 1.8-inches. The bottom sides of the phone feature a grip sensor which activates the ‘ticker’.

It was exactly a month ago that Motorola had announced the Droid Pro. However, back then the company did not mention when the phone will be launched and its pricing. Today, Verizon has made both – the pricing and the launch date – official.

Today, in a press release Sprint has officially confirmed that they will be launching the Samsung Galaxy Tab on November 14th in the U.S. Interested users can already pre-order their Galaxy Tab from here.

HP recently announced the new Palm Pre 2 smartphone. HP’s latest smartphone might also be available on the airwaves of AT&T in the U.S. and Rogers in Canada.

Verizon will be launching the Galaxy Tab on November 11. It is priced at $600 without a contract.

Remember the Droid 2 Global? Well Verizon has made the device official in a very odd manner. Verizon customers who called the their helpline and were kept on hold heard the advertisement of the new Droid 2 Global.

Surprise Surprise! The big red a.k.a Verizon is soon going to start selling the Apple iPad. Today, in an official html press release> Apple and Verizon have announced that the iPad will be available at all Verizon retail stores beginning from October 28.

Verizon along with Motorola have announced their next droid – the Droid Pro. The Droid Pro has a candy bar form factor with a QWERTY keyboard – a first in the Android ecosystem.

The folks over at BGR have managed to get their hands on a bunch of photos of the next Droid from Verizon – the HTC Merge/Lexikon. From the pictures, this Droid from HTC looks similar to the Motorola Droid 2.

Motorola has just announced in a press release about the limited edition R2-D2 Droid 2. The special edition Star Wars branded Droid 2 will look like the ‘iconic Astromech Droid from the Star Wars™ Saga’. This special edition Droid 2 will come in a custom box with a Star Wars media dock and a wired stereo headset.

Verizon is soon going to release a software update for the Samsung Fascinate. However, this software update won’t bring Android 2.2 with it to the device. Instead, this update will enhance some features, fix bugs and improve the performance of the Fascinate.

Finally Verizon and Motorola are going to roll out the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update for the Droid X. Verizon have updated their Droid X support page which states that the Froyo update for the device is ready to be rolled out soon.

Verizon has decided that the HTC Droid Eris won’t be getting the Android 2.2 (Froyo) update. A Verizon spokesperson told Computerworld that Verizon has cancelled all its plan of bringing Android 2.2 to the handset.
