Nokia Launches The Asha 305 And Asha 311 Touchscreen Phones In India

Back in July, Nokia announced two new budget smartphones in its popular Asha family. The Nokia Asha 305 features a 3 inch touchscreen display along with the Easy Swap dual SIM technology. On the other hand, Nokia Asha 311 is the company’s cheapest touchscreen phone with 1 GHz processor. Both the handsets run on the Symbian S40 Operating System. These devices are pre-loaded with 15 levels of Angry Birds as well as the Nokia Browser 2.0, which uses Nokia’s cloud technology to reduce data consumption by up to 90%.

Facebook For Android Updated; Twitter For Nokia S40 Launched

Facebook has recently released a new update for its official Android app. The latest update allows you to take photos using the front-facing camera and share it with your Facebook friends. Apart from that, it comes with the new messaging features which lets you switch between conversations, share bigger photos and see friends who are online. Twitter for Nokia S40:

The official Twitter app is already available for Nokia smartphones running on Symbian and Windows Phone 7.5 OS. However, the owners of Nokia feature phone running on Symbian Series 40 had to visit the Twitter mobile site to update their status and access their timeline. Now, Twitter has finally launched the official app for Series 40 feature phones.

The new Twitter for Nokia S40 app brings most of the features that are currently available on Twitter’s smartphone app. It allows you to post your own tweets and follow others tweets. Apart from that, there are @Connect and #Discover features which lets you see your mentions and browse the most interesting Tweets from around the world.

Nokia Asha 300 Firmware Updated To Version 7.49

Last year, Nokia launched the entry-level Nokia Asha 300 feature phone. This handset runs on the Symbian S40 Operating System. It comes with a 2.4 inch resistive touchscreen display as well as a physical T9 keypad. The Nokia Asha 300 lets you swipe the homescreen to access apps, music or games from the Nokia Store. The manufacturer has recently rolled out a new firmware update for this budget handset.

The new software version is numbered 071.004 and it comes with contacts sync correction, time zone correction, improved features and performance, better stability and so on. The latest firmware update can be downloaded from the Nokia Software Update or via Over-The-Air (OTA). Check out the complete changelog below.
