Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS for the Xperia U, go and Sola smartphones. The latest update will not be available via OTA (Over-The-Air).

Sony Xperia U is already available for purchase in India for just Rs.16,990. This handset is also up for pre-order at Flipkart and LetsBuy for Rs.17,399.

Sony recently announced the new Sony Xperia U smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona. It is the third smartphone in the new Sony Xperia NXT series.
