Sony Ericsson will roll out the Android 2.1 updates for Xperia series handsets in Q3 instead of previously said Q4. The Xperia X10 will get the Android 2.1 update with HD recording in late Q3.

Sony Ericsson today officially announced the rumored “Shakira” as Xperia X8. The Xperia X8 will be the latest addition in Xperia series line up.

Sony Ericsson has confirmed that it will be updating its Android handsets (Xperia X10, Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro) to Android 2.1 or even Android 2.2 later this year.
