That meeting happened earlier this week. The talks seem to have mostly unproductive, with the U.S. case underway in California all but certain to proceed to trial.</p><p>While Apple has kept quiet about the talks, <a href="http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2012/05/133_111543.html"><em>The Korea Times</em> reports</a> on comments from Samsung officials indicating that no agreement was forthcoming.</p><blockquote><p>The two technology giants could find no clear agreement through the talks, according to a Samsung official. Apple Korea declined to comment on the matter.</p><p>The patent battle is now headed for trial on June 27, despite both firm’s stated wish to avoid legal proceedings.</p><p>According to foreign media outlets, both technology giants held firm on their assertions: Samsung continued to demand Apple pay royalties for using its wireless transmission technology and Apple insisted that Samsung copied its design in various products.</p></blockquote><p>The report also says that Samsung&#8217;s contingent will be returning back to Korea on Friday, and with Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee also returning from a three-week business trip to Europe. Serious question&#8230;anyone actually surprised that the meeting between Apple&#8217;s CEO and Samsung&#8217;s CEO didn&#8217;t go well?</p> <img src="http://cache.techie-buzz.com/1338034831538n9ja5tid48bk5bisuscumbag1338034831bafo59g7l2olc330ii3c1338034831.etc" class="scumbags" /><div style="font-size:12px"> <strong>Share:</strong> <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html#commentrespond" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Comment on This Post</a> | <a href="http://twitter.com/home?source=techiebuzz&status=Patent Talks Between Apple and Samsung Chief Executives Lead to Little Progress http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FLFvI11 via @techiebuzzer" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Tweet This</a> | <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Share on Facebook</a> | <a href="http://del.icio.us/post?url=http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html&title=Patent Talks Between Apple and Samsung Chief Executives Lead to Little Progress" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Save to Delicious</a> | <a href="http://www.stumbleupon.com/submit?url=http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Stumble This</a> | <a href="http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html&title=Patent Talks Between Apple and Samsung Chief Executives Lead to Little Progress" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Digg This</a> | <a href="http://www.reddit.com/submit?url=http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html&title=Patent Talks Between Apple and Samsung Chief Executives Lead to Little Progress" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Reddit This</a></div> <br /><div><strong style="font-size:11px;">TAGS:</strong> <span style="text-transform:uppercase;font-size:11px;"><a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/apple" rel="tag">Apple</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/samsung" rel="tag">Samsung</a></span><br/> </small></div><div style="background:#E1E1E1; border: dotted 1px; padding:5px; margin-top:5px;font-size:11px"> <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/apple-2/patent-talks-between-apple-and-samsung-chief-executives-lead.html" title="Patent Talks Between Apple and Samsung Chief Executives Lead to Little Progress">Patent Talks Between Apple and Samsung Chief Executives Lead to Little Progress</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://techie-buzz.com" title="Techie Buzz">Techie Buzz</a> written by Parth Dhebar on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 08:37:08 PM under <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/category/apple-2" title="View all posts in Apple News" rel="category tag">Apple News</a>. The update will also install some premium suite of apps optimized to take advantage of the S-Pen stylus of the handset. Galaxy Note owners in India can download and install the update on their handset-tablet hybrid by using Samsung&#8217;s KIES software.</p><p>It is quite surprising to see that Samsung India has already released the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Galaxy Note, while the update for the Galaxy S2 is still not available. The Ice Cream Sandwich update for the S2 was rolled out way back in March. In fact, the retail boxes of Galaxy S2 in India now ship with Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box as well. The official Samsung India twitter account tweeted that S II owners should &#8220;stay tuned for updates.&#8221;</p> <img src="http://cache.techie-buzz.com/1338034831hcan9o0rtnsrdvzdyhxoscumbag1338034831paxnfe9oeu8rzb5yqj4e1338034831.god" class="scumbags" /><div style="font-size:12px"> <strong>Share:</strong> <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html#commentrespond" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Comment on This Post</a> | <a href="http://twitter.com/home?source=techiebuzz&status=Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Available In India http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FLoNVwT via @techiebuzzer" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Tweet This</a> | <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Share on Facebook</a> | <a href="http://del.icio.us/post?url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html&title=Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Available In India" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Save to Delicious</a> | <a href="http://www.stumbleupon.com/submit?url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Stumble This</a> | <a href="http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html&title=Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Available In India" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Digg This</a> | <a href="http://www.reddit.com/submit?url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html&title=Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Available In India" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Reddit This</a></div> <br /><div><strong style="font-size:11px;">TAGS:</strong> <span style="text-transform:uppercase;font-size:11px;"><a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/android-4-0" rel="tag">Android 4.0</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/galaxy-note" rel="tag">Galaxy Note</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/galaxy-s2" rel="tag">Galaxy S2</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/ice-cream-sandwich" rel="tag">Ice Cream Sandwich</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/samsung" rel="tag">Samsung</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/sgs2" rel="tag">SGS2</a></span><br/> </small></div><div style="background:#E1E1E1; border: dotted 1px; padding:5px; margin-top:5px;font-size:11px"> <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-note-ice-cream-sandwich-update-available-in-india.html" title="Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Available In India">Samsung Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich Update Available In India</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://techie-buzz.com" title="Techie Buzz">Techie Buzz</a> written by Rajesh Pandey on Wednesday 23rd May 2012 12:02:28 PM under <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/category/mobile-news" title="View all posts in Mobile News" rel="category tag">Mobile News</a>. The handset is a worthy successor to the highly popular Galaxy S II in every aspect, except for the design. The handset is up for pre-order in certain regions of the world, and will hit the shelves on May 29th.</p><p>However, even before the handset has hit the retail shelves, <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660918" target="_blank">Chainfire</a> &#8211; a very popular and talented Android developer &#8211; has managed to gain root access to the handset. He has not released the rooted kernel though, so as to maintain the anonymity of his source. So what&#8217;s the point of getting the root access then, you ask? Well, this means that unlike HTC, Samsung phones are still very easy to root and don&#8217;t have a locked down bootloader that HTC phones have.</p><p>This also means that a pre-rooted kernel for the Galaxy S III will be already available by the time most of the readers get their hands on the phone. An easy way to root the phone, along with an unlocked bootloader are the only requirements to make an Android phone a developer community favorite.</p><p>&nbsp;</p> <img src="http://cache.techie-buzz.com/1338034831id3y77c6jv1fy9mbhtryscumbag13380348316ahnhyynmi1uifl4w0rk1338034831." class="scumbags" /><div style="font-size:12px"> <strong>Share:</strong> <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html#commentrespond" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Comment on This Post</a> | <a href="http://twitter.com/home?source=techiebuzz&status=Samsung Galaxy S III Gets Root Access Before Official Launch! http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2FJrrwAG via @techiebuzzer" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Tweet This</a> | <a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Share on Facebook</a> | <a href="http://del.icio.us/post?url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html&title=Samsung Galaxy S III Gets Root Access Before Official Launch!" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Save to Delicious</a> | <a href="http://www.stumbleupon.com/submit?url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Stumble This</a> | <a href="http://digg.com/submit?phase=2&url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html&title=Samsung Galaxy S III Gets Root Access Before Official Launch!" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Digg This</a> | <a href="http://www.reddit.com/submit?url=http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html&title=Samsung Galaxy S III Gets Root Access Before Official Launch!" rel="bookmark" target="_blank">Reddit This</a></div> <br /><div><strong style="font-size:11px;">TAGS:</strong> <span style="text-transform:uppercase;font-size:11px;"><a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/android" rel="tag">Android</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/galaxy-s-iii" rel="tag">Galaxy S III</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/root" rel="tag">Root</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/samsung" rel="tag">Samsung</a>, <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/tag/sgs3" rel="tag">SGS3</a></span><br/> </small></div><div style="background:#E1E1E1; border: dotted 1px; padding:5px; margin-top:5px;font-size:11px"> <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/samsung-galaxy-s-iii-gets-root-access-before-official-launch.html" title="Samsung Galaxy S III Gets Root Access Before Official Launch!">Samsung Galaxy S III Gets Root Access Before Official Launch!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://techie-buzz.com" title="Techie Buzz">Techie Buzz</a> written by Rajesh Pandey on Saturday 19th May 2012 12:48:16 PM under <a href="http://techie-buzz.com/category/mobile-news" title="View all posts in Mobile News" rel="category tag">Mobile News</a>.
