Samsung has unveiled a new media player in a press release today, sporting a pocket busying 5.8-inch display — the Galaxy Player 5.8.

Samsung Galaxy Player is currently up for pre-order at the Amazon UK. This device is available in 8 GB and 16 GB variants and it features a 3.2 inch display and changeable battery.

Samsung recently announced the Android powered Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-GB1). It will compete with popular music players such as iPod Touch and Microsoft Zune. This device will be showcased at the upcoming CES 2011.
