HTC Pyramid Picture Leaks; Confirms qHD Resolution Display

All the handsets announced by HTC at the MWC 2011 were met with lukewarm response. None of the handsets really offered anything new or innovative and were just run-of-the-mill Android handsets.

Now, it looks like HTC is all set to change that with its next high-end flagship the HTC Pyramid. Rumors have been floating around on the Internet that the Pyramid will sport a qHD resolution display, and will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The folks over at GSMArena have received a front pic of the Pyramid comparing it to the HTC Desire HD. The picture confirms the rumor of the Pyramid featuring a high-resolution qHD (960×640) display. From the abovepicture, it looks like the size of the display will be 4.3-inches.

Other rumored specs of the handset include an Adreno 220 GPU, 768MB of RAM and a front-facing camera. The Pyramid might be the first dual-core handset to be announced from HTC.

Rumors also suggest that the Pyramid will be the first handset to be released with Android 2.4, with HTC’s beautiful Sense UI on top of it.
