MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team has just confirmed that his team will soon be releasing a tethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1, for both Windows and Mac users.

The Dev Team has released an update for the popular PwnageTool which will jailbreak and unlock iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 3G, 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4-Verizon, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPad and AppleTV 2G.

The iPhone Dev Team has finally released PwnageTool 4.1. The application uses Geohot’s boot rom exploit to build custom IPSW/firmware files for most of the iTouch devices out there.

Geohot is one of the most popular guy in the iPhone/iPod Touch jailbreak/unlock scene. He has successfully managed to hack the PlayStation 3 as well. However, Geohot has been mum right from the time the Apple iPhone 4 was announced, and released.

Just a couple of days ago Apple had released the iOS4 for its iTouch line-up. Yesterday, the folks behind redsn0w released an update of their application which allowed users to hacktivate iOS4 on their iPhone 3G.

Do no upgrade to iTunes 9.2 if you are using the Spirit jailbreaking tool, however, if you are using redsn0w or PwnageTool to jailbreak the iPhone you can safely upgrade to iTunes 9.2.

Jailbreak for iOS4 on iPhone 3GS is now available. The PwangeTool Bundle for iOS4 GM will allow users to jailbreak iPhone 3GS with Apple’s latest renamed iPhone OS 4, which will also run on iPhone 4.

The dev team has released PwnageTool 3.1.4 for Mac OS X which supports the 3.1.2 firmware release for iPhone software for iPhone 2G/3G/3GS and iPod Touch 1G/2G.
