Nokia recently updated its C3 Touch and Type device, which bring the new Swipe to Unlock feature. Now, the same feature is available for the X3 Touch and Type phone via new firmware update. The Nokia X3-02 candy bar phone comes with a 2.4 inch touchscreen display as well as a physical T9 keypad. The latest firmware version can be downloaded from the Nokia Software Update or via. Over-The-Air (OTA).
The latest firmware is numbered 06.00 and it comes with the new swipe features. You can unlock your device by swiping from left to right. When on the home screen, you can open the Collection view by swiping from left to right and the Games view by swiping from right to left. Check out the complete changelog, after the break:

It is advised to backup all your data before updating the device, just to make sure that no important files are lost during the installation. To get this software through your device, select Applications & Software Update, and choose the software you want to update. Nokia announced Nokia C3-01 and X3-02 back in third quarter of 2010. Both the devices C3-01 and X3-02 fall into Touch and Type segment and were promised to be launched in India by first quarter of 2011. It looks like Nokia has for once lived up to their promise.
Nokia C3-01 has a touchscreen 2.4 inch, QVGA display. It also has an alphanumeric keypad, Wi-Fi, HSPA, Facebook and Twitter integration, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio with RDS, 5MP camera, VGA video recording, and MicroSD card support. The C3-01 is also 3G enabled and supports WiFi. The C3-01 will be available for Rs.9389 in India.
Nokia X3-02 comes with 5 megapixel camera, 3.5 mm headset jack, FM radio and display with 240*320 pixel resolution, 2GB internal storage and can be expanded up to 32 Gb. The X3-02 is also 3G enabled and supports WiFi. The X3-02 will be available for Rs 8,839 in India.
Nokia announced their first touch and type phone. A phone which has both, touchscreen and a regular alphanumeric keypad. The X3-02 will have a 2.4 inch TFT resistive touchscreen of QVGA resolution with 256k color support.
The X3-02 will also be the first S40 device to sport a touchscreen. It will have a 3.5mm audio slot and a dedicated music button. The external microSD will be expandable up to 16GB.
The X3-02 will have 2G and 3G connectivity. Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n will be present. The Bluetooth version is 2.1 with A2DP support. The camera is of 5MP resolution with fixed focus but it will lack flash. Video will also be recorded but the resolution is still unknown. We predict the video recording resolution to be QVGA.
The X3-02 will be available in White Silver, Dark Metal, Petrol Blue, Pink and Lilac colors. The X3-02 will release at the end of Q3 2010 and the price is expected to be around EUR 130.
