Nokia recently released a new firmware update for its popular entry-level touchscreen phone, the Nokia 5233. The latest version is numbered 40.1.003 and it comes with a new version of Ovi Store and general performance improvements. Nokia has released a new firmware update for its popular budget touch based smartphone the Nokia 5233. The Nokia 5233 is the 3G-less sibling of the Nokia 5230. The new firmware version is numbered V21.1.102. As of now, no official change-log is available for this firmware update. As with all firmware updates, this update should fix some bugs and improve the performance and stability of the device.
The firmware update will be rolled out in phases to various regions of the world. Users can update the firmware either by OTA (Over-The-Air) or by using Nokia Software Updater (NSU). Since the Nokia 5233 features UDP (User Data Preservation), users don’t need to make a backup of the data on their device before proceeding with the firmware update.

Nokia 5233 is the cheaper version of Nokia 5230. The only difference between the two handsets is that, Nokia 5233 does not come with 3G connectivity. It is even said that Nokia has replaced th Nokia 5230 handset with the latest Nokia 5233. This handset is around Rs.1000 cheaper as compared to Nokia 5230.

Other feature includes a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio with RDS, A-GPS, audio and video player, Photo editor, Flash Lite 3.0, downloadable games, upto 7 hours talktime and OVI maps.
Nokia 5233 is the cheapest touchscreen device from Nokia.. Sadly this device does not comes with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Nokia 5233 is available in two colors – silver and black. This handset comes with a price tag of Rs.7500. If 3G is not much important for you, then you should go ahead and buy this amazing handset.
