Nokia has released a new firmware update for its low-end touch phone – the Nokia 5230. The new firmware update version is numbered V40.0.3 and is apparently the last firmware update for the handset.

Nokia phones were not popular among the modding community until a few months ago. However, from the last few months Nokia modding has reached an all new high with Custom ROMs being released for various devices and the C6 firmware being ported to 5800.

Its been raining firmwares for Nokia phones nowadays. Nokia has just released new firmwares for both – the Nokia X6 and the Nokia 5230. The firmware update is numbered v20.0.05 for both the phones.

Nokia 5230 is the cheaper version on Nokia 5800. It comes with 3G connectivity, 2 megapixel camera, 3.2 inches touchscreen and so on. This device is now available India only for Rs.8500.
