The New York Times Company has managed to sell off About.com and related web properties to IAC, the owner of Ask.com and Match.com, for $300 million.

A fake op-ed written by someone masquerading as Bill Keller of New York Times managed to fool thousands of people including some of New York Time’s own staff writers.

The New York Times reported flat Q2 earnings, with revenues of $515 million with advertising contributing nearly $244 million and circulation contributing $233 million to the mix.
